Credit-Based Billing
SimpleTuner.io uses a prepaid credit system. You purchase credits in advance, and credits are deducted as you use the service to run training jobs.
Storage Billing
If you enable managed dataset storage, storage is billed daily at $0.015/GB plus a 30.5% platform fee. Storage charges are deducted from your credit balance while data remains stored. You can delete stored data at any time, and it will also expire at the TTL you set (default 90 days).
Refund Policy
We offer refunds on unused credits only. If you have remaining credits in your account that you do not intend to use, you may request a refund for the unused portion within 14 days of your most recent credit purchase.
What Is Not Refundable
- Credits that have already been used for training jobs
- Storage fees already charged for managed datasets
- Credits from promotional offers or bonuses
- Payment processing fees (see below)
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund for unused credits, contact our support team at hello[at]simpletuner.io with your account email. Include the amount of unused credits you wish to refund. We will process eligible refunds promptly.
Refund Processing
All payments are processed by Dodo Payments as our Merchant of Record. Approved refunds typically appear on your statement within 5-10 business days, depending on your payment provider.
Processing Fee Deduction
Refunds are subject to a deduction for non-recoverable payment processing fees incurred when you originally purchased the credits. These fees are charged by payment networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) and cannot be recovered when a refund is issued.
The deduction is approximately 2.9% + $0.30 of the original transaction amount, though the exact amount may vary based on your payment method and location. For example:
- $10 purchase → ~$9.41 refundable ($0.59 processing fee)
- $25 purchase → ~$24.00 refundable ($1.03 processing fee)
- $50 purchase → ~$48.25 refundable ($1.75 processing fee)
We will show you the exact refundable amount before processing your request.
Account Closure
If you close your account, any remaining unused credits may be refunded upon request, subject to the conditions above. Credits not claimed within 30 days of account closure will be forfeited. Stored datasets may be deleted when the account is closed or when outstanding storage fees are not paid.
Business Customers & Taxes
SimpleTuner.io payments are processed by Dodo Payments as our Merchant of Record. Dodo handles tax collection, invoicing, and compliance.
Tax ID for Business Purchases
If you are purchasing on behalf of a business, you can provide your Tax ID (VAT number, GST number, etc.) during checkout. When a valid Tax ID is provided:
- Your invoice will include your business Tax ID
- Tax treatment will be determined based on your country's regulations
- Reverse charge may apply where required by law (see below)
If no Tax ID is provided, the transaction is treated as a B2C (consumer) purchase and tax is collected according to your country's regulations.
Reverse Charge Mechanism
In certain B2B transactions, tax is not collected at checkout. Instead, under the reverse charge mechanism, the liability to pay VAT/GST shifts to you (the buyer) rather than the supplier. This typically applies to:
- Cross-border B2B purchases within the EU
- Imports and other notified supplies under local tax law
When reverse charge applies, your invoice will clearly indicate this. You are responsible for reporting and paying the tax to your local tax authority.
Invoices
Invoices for all purchases are available through the Dodo Customer Portal. Each invoice includes Dodo Payments' tax details and any applicable tax amounts.
